To Gfinity and Beyond.
This is the name of my first blog series which will be uploaded weekly. I will be sharing a range of views and opinions from different figures within the UK esports industry about Gfinity’s Elite Series.
For this project, I have interviewed and spoken with a number of professionals who can offer different perspectives on the Elite Series, as they are all associated with and benefit from the event in a variety of ways. The professionals include:
- Kieran Holmes-Darby, the Managing Director of excel esports.
- James Townley, an esports photographer.
- Richard Buckley, a FIFA esports commentator.
The purpose of this project is to consider why the Elite Series is an integral part of the UK scene. In doing so, I also hope to better understand why the events are important and necessary for growth to occur.
